Montcalm magic meets Regent Street’s Christmas lights

 

With Christmas just over a month away, towns and cities all over Britain will now be festooned with lights, trees and decorations of various kinds.As one might expect, central London has some spectacular displays, not least along Regent Street, where a myriad of shoppers will be looking for festive gifts and admiring the splendid illuminations along the way as they hang above a street famous for its bustling atmosphere and magnificent architecture.This year’s display features garlands all the way down the road, which includes a range of golden sequins, cogs and coils.

The lights have been sponsored by Jo Malone London and designed by ACT Lighting Design, which also designs the Christmas lights for Paris.Now the lights have been switched on – they began shining on November 15th despite the fact storm Barney was lurking – the street is wonderfully illuminated.

The big event was marked by the cast of Charlie And The Chocolate Factory, musical entertainment and a fireworks display, but it is the lasting effects that will be admired by so many as they enjoy a hint of a magical festive atmosphere.The Montcalm Marble Arch is the ideal place to say for those keen to be in the heart of this delightful illuminated area.
