Manchester’s ultimate football hotel

There are many themed hotels around the world, but it is hard to imagine anything that could represent the beautiful game as well as Hotel Football. For a start, it is located literally just across the road from the home of Manchester United, the most glamorous club in England, if not the world. From its windows the statues of Law, Best and Charlton, Sir Matt Busby and Sir Alex Ferguson are all visible.

In addition, its very existence comes from the heart of the club, with the project being the brainchild of former captain and one-club stalwart Gary Neville, aided by his ‘class of 92′ team-mates Ryan Giggs, Paul Scholes, Nicky Butt and brother Phil. Those credentials may be special enough, but fans only need to step inside to see that this is a hotel that takes things to new levels. Indeed, this includes Heaven – a rooftop football pitch 12 floors up, on which up to 180 people can enjoy functions. Alternatively, it can simply be hired out for a game of five-a-side like no other, with panoramic views across the stadium opposite and the local cityscape beyond.

The hotel also includes a supporters’ club, where up to 1,000 fans can enter and enjoy a drink before games, over half of them for a nominal £1 entry fee – with the money going to a local charity. Visitors staying overnight can enjoy a choice of standard rooms or Executive rooms. The former comes with king size beds and a rainforest shower, bespoke ‘class of 92′ toiletries, a 40-inch Samsung smart TV with Sky Sports, plus complimentary wi-fi and water. The Executive rooms have all this and more, with extra space and a fridge packed with retro goodies.

Indeed, everything about the hotel speaks of the legacy of the Class of 92, a group of players who represented the finest traditions of the club. It also speaks straight to the fans among whom they emerged, providing a hotel that fulfils a dream off the pitch made by those who brought so many dreams to life on it.
