In the heart of one of Europe’s busiest and most vibrant cities the Spaclomm offers tourists and locals alike the chance to take a step back and enjoy a spot of indulgence. Part of the luxury Hotel Omm, the relaxing space was created by acclaimed interior designers Sandra Tarruella and Isabel Lopez, with the emphasis on bringing a touch of Oriental calm to this corner of Catalonia. To achieve this, they utilised a range of natural materials, including not just stone, wood and iron, but also coconut, yarn and silk, all of which provide a sense of softness and elegance to aid relaxation. Combined with clean lines, soft lighting and ambient music, the result is a true oasis of calm just metres from the hustle and bustle of downtown Barcelona.
Here, a wide range of treatments can be enjoyed, all of them specifically designed to indulge the senses. Alongside personalised body treatments, guests staying at the luxury Hotel Omm can also make use of the indoor pool with garden view, a steam room, sauna and even an on-site beautician and hairdresser. What’s more, yoga classes are given most mornings of the week, plus, once the sun sets over Barcelona, the terrace is given over to casual drinks, evening sushi and, at weekends, chilled-out DJ sets and occasional live music performances. The attention to detail doesn’t stop at the Spaclomm spa space and terrace.
Even the standard rooms at the Hotel Omm are designed with Oriental calm and spirituality in mind, with the emphasis on making use of natural materials wherever possible. This means parquet wooden flooring, hand-woven rugs and only the finest linens for the king-sized beds. Meanwhile, the award-winning Roca Bar not only serves world-class cuisine and the finest Spanish and international wines, it’s also part of the Restaurants Against Hunger initiative, meaning guests can do their bit for global solidarity while at the same enjoying the good life in one of Europe’s most exciting cities.
