Fill your home with art from the Affordable Art Fair

If you’re looking for something to do in London this weekend then look no further, because the Affordable Art Fair is heading to Battersea Park from 10th to 13th March. Fill your home with original artwork from 110 local and international galleries, all available for between £100 and £5,000.

Whatever it is you’re looking for, with art from over 1,100 artists you really will be spoilt for choice. Even if you just want to look around, the amazing pieces will keep you captivated for hours. This is also great for a family day out, with a free education programme for kids and adults alike. Hone your skills in a workshop, create your own original print, or drop into a talk or tour and brush up your art knowledge. You’ll find everything you need here for a full day out.

Refresh and unwind at the Benugo café with a light lunch or snack. Everything is made fresh each day, from British beef sandwiches to a delicious quiche. For those with a sweeter tooth, choose from carrot cakes, indulgent chocolate brownies, pastries and more. To really top your day off, head to the central champagne bar to toast your purchase, or visit the artisanal gin and tonic bar on the mezzanine, run by Sipsmith and Fever-Tree, where you can relax and enjoy one of their award-winning pairings.

Affordable Art Fair is also a platform to champion contemporary artists, with a series of large-scale, curated installations where emerging artists meet mid-career practitioners. Also, don’t forget to grab one of free activity packs for kids from the Education Space, filled with drawing materials from Cowling and Wilcox and a special ‘Making Shapes’ activity booklet, to keep kids aged four to eleven entertained while they discover art in fun new ways.
