Today, Fred and I had the pleasure to go and visit one of our hotel partners, The Montcalm in Marble Arch. This five star boutique hotel is located behind the Marble Arch tube station, in the heart of central London. The property has the beauty and prestige of a luxury hotel with the friendliness of a small family hotel. Daisy, from the Guest Experience team, had us for one of the best breakfasts we have ever tried and then gave us a tour of this amazing property.
We arrived at 9am and headed straight to the Crescent restaurant. There, we were greeted by the very mindful team that recommended us the French toast. I went for it, Fred decided to go full American and we shared a delicious egg white omelette.
Breakfast at The Montcalm Marble ArchThe maple syrup was sinful and the toasts were warm with a hint of cinnamon! Yes, they were as good as they look.
Fred seemed intrigued with her green tea…
We also had a lovely chat with Sassi, the barrister.
The team is attentive and the food is excellent! What else could we wish for?
After we were well fed and in a great mood, Daisy gave us a tour of the property starting with their restaurant SixtyOne, an Anglo-French concept. The Chef, Arnaud Stevens, prides himself in offering a fine eating experience. Then we headed to the spa where we saw a really cool manicure bar, a Jacuzzi and cosy treatment rooms.
Finally, we followed the curved hallways to one of the club rooms (how cool is it to have a hotel shaped like a crescent?!) Each room has an aroma box that displays 6 fragrances and an iPad to be your personal concierge. There is also a large choice of pillows to please everyone. For example, the Eco Pillow for the eco-conscious is filled with seeds and the Manly Macho Magic pillow is for a firm and “manly” pillow.
Look at this sparkly ceiling. Aren’t you just ready to dive in?
For those of us that are clumsy and prone to hot water burns, the colour of the sink gives you an indication of how warm the water is!
After a friendly chat with John the doorman, we headed back to the office. Thank you Montcalm!
